Donald "Don" Shipe

January 17, 1952  Died November 25, 2019

Donald George Shipe, 67, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, November 25, 2019.

Graveside funeral services will be 1:00PM Monday, December 16, 2019 at Salisbury National Veteran’s Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd. Salisbury, NC.

Donnie was born January 17, 1952 in Pittsburgh, PA to Elizabeth Margaret Pesuex of Kernersville, who survives, and the late Robert William Shipe.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Bill Shipe of Wichita, KS, Jim Shipe and wife Glenda of Kernersville and Joe Peseux and wife Monica of Pompano Beach, FL; sister, Margaret Evans of Kernersville and many nieces and nephews.

Donnie served his country honorably in the US Marine Corps.   His service included tours of duty in Vietnam during the war. He received several accommodations for his service.

He retired from a career as an Auto Technician.  In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with friends and family and riding his bike.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the local Veteran’s Hospital.

We are sad to announce that on September 1, 2021, at the age of 68, Deborah Jean Waldie of Fort Lauderdale, Florida passed away. There are no services at this time.
